Dear Prospective NIAC Member,
Thank you for your interest in the Nuclear Industry Assessment Committee (NIAC). The NIAC organization has been sharing auditing services within its membership since 1994. To meet membership requirements your company's QA Program must comply with 10CFR50 Appendix B or an equivalent DOE Program, and have a certified Lead Auditor whose qualifications meet ASME NQA-1, 2S-3 or ANSI N45.2.23.
Our next General Membership meeting is posted on our website, choose the ICON “Next Meeting” to open the schedule. The NIAC membership meets twice a year; a non-mandatory meeting every June and our mandatory annual membership meeting held every November. The November meeting’s emphasis is on training, internal auditing and the planning/scheduling process of assignment of supplier audits for the next calendar year.
If you are interested in joining, please complete the Membership Agreement form and return it along with membership dues payment to the undersigned. Current dues for membership in NIAC is $600. If you are joining mid-year (December through June) and wish to obtain a maximum of 2 completed NIAC member Assessments before the Annual November meeting, we need your commitment for 2 years of membership dues. Please include your QA Program policy statement or similar statement, which certifies compliance with 10CFR50 Appendix B or the DOE Program by filling in the blank spaces on the Charter Membership Agreement form and one Qualified Lead Auditor Certification Record. Once your Agreement is received, the Secretary will request two NIAC forms be completed as evidence of Membership compliance.
On the NIAC website cover page is our NIAC Executive Summary, which describes our purpose and mission, the Charter and Membership Agreement form, and scheduled next meeting information.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (714) 528-2301 extension 161.
Sincerely,
John “Rusty” DeKleine
